Dr. Nina Durchfort Metcalfe is a fellowship-trained, board-eligible Urogynecologist (Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery), and a board-certified Gynecology. Dr. Metcalfe aims to provide excellent evidence-based, patient-centered care.
She completed medical school, residency in Gynecology & Obstetrics, and fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. During her training, she received several teaching and surgical excellence awards. She has also authored multiple scientiο¬c papers, and presented her research at national and international meetings.
She is committed to providing her patients with up-to-date surgical and nonsurgical treatments for pelvic floor disorders. She is well trained in surgical management of pelvic organ prolapse (with or without mesh), stress urinary incontinence (slings with or without mesh), overactive bladder and urge urinary incontinence (bladder Botox, sacral neuromodulation), fecal incontinence (sacral neuromodulation), genitourinary ο¬stula, and vaginal mesh excision. She has extensive training in minimally invasive surgical modalities, including vaginal, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery.
